We hope this blog will serve as a forum for information and discussion on current events and things that will impact our Town. This is the time for residents to speak up and get involved. We all have a responsibility to do what we can whether that means speaking out here or face to face when the need arises. Remaining silent is as bad as doing the wrong thing. This democracy only works if we work it.

Shoulda, Coulda, Woulda...
I just saw the two articles re: randolph's use of the community preservation act monies. I am proud to say i brought that idea before town meeting twice. When I served on the Norfolk County Advisory Board a group of us went to the State House and testified on it. But as usual the Brain Trust couldn't get their tiny minds around that one either. It is really sad. I am sorry we don't have that one. There are many who have no idea what really goes on only bits and pieces of half remembered stories. Look back at the articles and see. Now anyone who wants to know why Randolph has the improvements they have will know why they do.

It seems to me that people do not want to look into the complete story, Sue. They are more interested in the bits and pieces instead of the truth. Even Mr. Lofgren who has a complete story to tell, isn't coming forth with it. My biggest nemisis, Katherine Connolly, uses these bits and pieces to her advantage but even she has something more to tell. People like to blame her for all that has gone wrong. While I have been on that band wagon, I know it is not completely true. She is but a piece of the puzzle. I give her credit for saying it and sticking to her guns. I don't always agree with her and that is what makes this world so wondeful because I don't have too. Sue, you did alot for this town along with Dave Holden, Jim R. and others to name a few. I served Holbrook on three different boards. The one thing I was always told is that I had a reputation for being honest and watching out for the best interest for the town.People knew where I was coming from. Very recently I had maor heart problems. Well recuperating, I have had the chance to look back on things I have done. I am proud of the things I accomplished as a public official in Holbrook. I am not proud of all the things I did in the postings of the blog I wrote. Even though I have finally left the town, I care alot about my friends and former neighbors over there. If I could change one thing, it would be to understand my foes better and that would include Ms. Connolly too. One of the biggest problems we have in life as human beings is to dwell on the negatives of others. I am as guilty of that as anybody. When you have gone through as much as I have over the past ten years, you must realize that there is some good in all people, Cliff
hi cliff sorry about your heart. i hope you are starting to feel better. sorry for the delay in answering i've had a lot going on. you are right about things not being totally just black and white. i am guilty of that mindset pretty often myself. i wish that people's motives and thoughts were more upfront and obvious. i never thought about it before maybe that's why i get aggravated with people. they think i have hidden things and i never think they do and the result is a disconnect. thank you cliff another insight i hadn't realized.
