The bowling alley is opening soon! They are scheduled to go to the Selectmen's meeting on the 9th! Mike Mullens and his cousin Gerry Quirk are taking the first steps toward Old English Square. The people who bowl on the leagues are very excited and eager to get bowling.
The long empty space on South St should have an established dancing school from Randolph operating soon. The wood pellet place is running and with the price of fuel the way it is and will be this winter they should be very successful!
If the medical building and the other new buildings get finished and open on N. Franklin St things will be looking up even more. What is not readily apparent about small improvements like these is that these companies will buy things from other businesses in the town too. They'll need things from the hardware store, get gas for their cars and their customers will too. They'll get hungry and go try out the excellent restaurants, sub shops, and ice cream places we have. When the different groups need to raise money they'll have new blood who'll want to help and get known.
I hope we can start the new school year on a good note and keep it going right through till the real New Year. Why not; we decide how we feel about things so why not decide to be moving forward? C'mon, try it, you might like it!
