I have stayed off the blogs and not paid much attention to them for a few weeks now. The article in the Sun regarding the web site for the Town made me check out Support Holbrook. I am glad to see a few sensible posts. I learned a little about web site production from the bulldogs buying club one. . .. Mr Clark offered to give the selectmen something that he probably took a lot of time putting together. The numbers that are assigned to the site that identify it to the server it sits in can be changed by the person who owns the server. If the selectmen want to be sure that Mr Clark has no official access to the info on it after he gives it to them they just get the numbers updated. Of course then they'd have to trust the person who runs the server. .... well hopefully they will figure it out and get the town a site that can accept online payments, fill out forms, and applications and keep track of which accounts to put these payments into. I really hope we don't get into a situation where we are paying some consultant to give them information that is easily accessable if they only would look for it.
Speaking of the www.bulldogsbuyingclub.com web site we had 50 hits yesterday! Hits aren't sales but that is encouraging! Check out the special offer Cheryl is making for the hard drive! We are encouraged by the interest and by the favorable comparisons of our fund raising model compared to the EDNETs one that weymouth is considering. We will give 100% of the retail profits generated to the cause or causes indicated by the club participants.
Cheryl is going to bring this to her daughters school but they won't get 100% of the profits. We are only doing this for Holbrook schools and kids. It is up to the everyday parents and residents who want to see a change and improvement in our atmosphere and mindset to step up and see if they can make a difference. You won't know until you try. We've made it available it's up to you.
