In the Interest of Accuracy

Last night after the fin com meeting i had a conversation with rick mcgaughey about a post on this blog. i reported that he and paul currie had a conversation w/ yvonne regarding the trash transfer station at her house. that did happen but he disagreed with what they said. i told him i would go back to yvonne and check the details and her recollections. the discrepency i found was that her focus in asking her question was whether the board would go forward with the station even if the allegations against mr walsh were true. they did say they would go ahead anyway. i understood that comment to be about the proposed vote on the trash tranfer station itself. mr mcgaughey has said that if the voters come back with a no vote, the board will not go forward. i hope this clears things up. it just goes to remind us that every conversation has a personal point of view attached to it, and even when you are trying to be accurate you don't know what the other person is really thinking about. it was an honest mistake and now that it has been clarified, i am happy to know that the will of the people will prevail.
