We hope this blog will serve as a forum for information and discussion on current events and things that will impact our Town. This is the time for residents to speak up and get involved. We all have a responsibility to do what we can whether that means speaking out here or face to face when the need arises. Remaining silent is as bad as doing the wrong thing. This democracy only works if we work it.

Derricks Roast Beef yummmm.......
Derricks Roast Beef has opened at 228 Union St across from the alleys. Deb Chiasson and her two sons Derick and Ricky along with some helpful family members are making delicious subs, salads, and kabobs, on fresh. fresh breads and rolls. They have many more kinds of cheeses than i have ever noticed anywhere before. Deb says they wash their salads 3 times and you can tell the difference. They cook their turkeys right there and make great gobbler subs too. I ordered the roast beef since that's their specialty. It was very good..!!! We're so glad to have a new neighbor who will do a great job and enhance the area as we wake back up from a long, long rip van winkle nap around here. Great job on the renovations Big Russell Callahan ! Good luck Deb, Derick and Rick !!!

I just had to add that we tried tuscan chicken and "the day after", they were really good! Tuscan Chicken has moist delicious chicken pieces with pesto and some kind of yummy cheese and peppers. The Day After is made of freshly roasted ( in their store) turkey with great stuffing and real cranberry sauce. no deli turkey on this one!
I just ordered the mimi's pick and the holbrook salad. WOW! The best salad on the South Shore in my opinion. I highly recommend checking out Derrick's Roast Beef.
I got a roast beef sandwich. They microwaved it!! Not cool especially for $7.50. They also don't have sides such as fries or onion rings. Good luck!
Just knowing everything served is so fresh is very appealing. Years ago I remember having the same wonderful roast beef sub served in Weymouth Landing. Never thought I'd find it again.

derricks roast beef is very different than the other sub shops around. I went there last week. I didnt know what to order, everything looked so good. I decided on a chicken parm. Just like the menu said, it came with three cheeses. Their chicken was not deep fried or processed which is super important to me. I for one am thrilled to have a fast food restaurant that uses healthy food choices the next town over. Try it you'll love it too.
